EPF Pension: National Pension Scheme: The National Pension System or NPS is a voluntary contribution pensions system launched in the year 2004 by Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA). NPS is administered and regulated by PFRDA. It is the Government approved pension scheme and citizens of India in the age group of 18-60 are allowed to contribute to this scheme.
This scheme was initially designed in the year 2004 for the newly joined Government employees to stop the existing defined benefits pension scheme, however, it has been allowed for all citizens in the year 2009. Anybody can join NPS either as an individual or an employee, however, the contributions to the pension scheme can be made till the age of 60. Even NRIs can open the NPS account and make contributions subject to RBI and FEMA regulations.
This portal is mainly used for enquiry to see whether Pension has been credited or not! and it will show your Pension credited amount along with the amount from the beginning!
Steps to Check your EPF Pension Status
- Go the url – http://103.194.45.139/PPOquery/
- Choose your office from where you are getting EPF Pension
- Enter your PPO No (XXXXX) and then enter your Date of Birth
- Click on Submit, Please see the below screenshots
EPF Pension : Eligibility For Pension
| 1) On superannuation: Age 58 years or More and atleast ten years of service | The member can continue in service while receiving this pension. On attaining 58 Years of age, a EPF member cease to be a member of EPS automatically. |
| 2) Before superannuation: Age between 50 and 58 years and atleast ten years of service | The member should not be in service. |
| 3) Death of the member | Death while in service or Death while not in service |
| 4) Permanent disability | Permanently and totally unfit for the employment which the member was doing at the time of such disablement |
I have not received EPF Pension – What to do?
If you are having problem on receiving EPF Pension Here are some of the steps they may need to take or check to get the Pension credited
Contact your Bank or EPF Office based on the observations
When to contact Bank?
If it shows your amount as credited here but you have not received it in your Bank account, then there is no problem from EPF Office, you may need to reach out to your Bank to see what’s the issue!
When to contact EPF Office?
If you don’t see your amount credited for your PPO no for that particular month
then there might be some issue from the EPF Office. Usually it might be due the
below issues
Not Submitting Digital Life Certificate Withhold due to issues like name not matching in “Aadhaar” and in the Pension account Someother issue
EPF Office receives lot of queries like this so calling them is futile it’s better to send them a email and see if they respond and if they are not responding it’s better to go in Person and contact them.
